Microneedling

Microneedling is also called collagen induction therapy (CID). This involves using a handheld pen with very fine needles to pierce the skin’s top layer in a precise, controlled pattern. These micro-injuries on the skin layer stimulate the body to begin the natural healing process by increasing collagen and elastin in the skin.

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is then injected into these micro-injuries to boost the body’s ability to heal and rejuvenate itself. The result is a refreshed, firmer, and smoother skin that looks youthful and vibrant. It is also effective in enhancing skin texture and tone while addressing brown spots, under-eye bags, fine lines, wrinkles, and rejuvenating dull-looking skin.

Microneedling is Scientifically evidenced and FDA cleared technique,  with PRF stimulates the skin on multiple levels by encouraging cell renewal and promoting collagen and elastin production.

PRF stands for Platelet-Rich Fibrin. It is also called Leukocyte- and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (L-PRF).

Platelet-Rich Fibrin is collected from your blood with a centrifuge, which separates liquid suspensions into their component parts based on weight. The top layer contains plasma, the bottom layer contains whole red blood cells, and the PRF settles in a layer in between them, where it is separated for use.

PRF releases many biologically-active proteins that promote healing and rejuvenation, including:
Several growth factors
Healing matrix proteins
Bone morphogenetic protein
Cytokines
Other regenerative materials

When this PRF matrix is injected in an area that requires healing and regeneration, platelets are activated and release several regenerative proteins with powerful therapeutic properties.
